What does your role at Wellington IT involve?
I am guiding the strategic direction of AI adoption at Wellington IT by providing expertise on effective AI usage, advising on AI-driven solutions to address business challenges and opportunities, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. My aim is to improve efficiency and deliver greater value to customers and their members.
How can we utilise AI to help use streamline our working day?
AI has become more accessible and powerful than ever, offering specialised tools like coding assistants to streamline writing and testing code, as well as the ability to create custom solutions such as internal support chatbots that enhance efficiency across specific business functions. Additionally, general-purpose AI tools like Microsoft Copilot empower staff to work smarter, boost productivity, and approach everyday tasks with greater innovation.

How is Wellington IT adopting AI?
Wellington IT is embracing AI through three key initiatives: educating staff on using AI effectively and responsibly while trialing Microsoft Copilot, experimenting with targeted AI-driven solutions across various business functions, and establishing an AI Committee to guide AI adoption and ensure ethical governance.
