Assurance for Ardee Credit Union with Wellington's IT Managed Service

Wellington IT’s IT Managed Service provides peace of mind to Ardee that a trusted partner is looking after their IT. It’s also freeing up their time to focus on their digital strategy. Bundled together with regular reports, up-to-date patch management and monthly and quarterly meetings, Ardee’s IT needs are covered.

What’s more, if an IT issue arises, they know exactly who to call for prompt assistance. This provides assurance to Ardee Credit Union and is now in line with CBI regulations.

Drivers behind the decision

Before Ardee moved to Wellington IT’s Managed Service, they weren’t clear as to which of their suppliers were responsible for which IT issues, therefore were unsure who to call for support. They had various third-party providers that they had to manage and build relationships with, which could get confusing.

Providers were passing their queries back and forth, and they felt like they weren’t being supported.

With the CBI pushing for a managed service for Credit Unions, Ardee knew they had to change their current processes.

Benefits of Wellington's ITMS

Wellington’s ITMS team visited Ardee and carried out a detailed IT audit, completing a full asset register and providing feedback on the audit report along with recommendations to improve the efficiencies of their IT infrastructure.

The IT Managed Service provides monitoring using ConnectWise Automate agent deployed on the PCs which allows Ardee staff to focus on what they do best – serving their members – without worrying about IT issues occurring. Regular discussions around PEN testing, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning and execution are all covered within Wellington’s managed service.

The importance of regular reporting

The daily and weekly reports pulled from out ticketing and monitoring software Connectwise Manage & Automate allow Wellington IT to flag any potential issues, so work can be completed proactively instead of reactively and identified before it has an impact on the end user.

For example, The Dell Open Manage portal highlighted a potential issue with one of the physical host servers. Wellington IT were able to communicate directly with Dell to arrange an onsite visit from one of Dells engineers to rectify the problem replacing the part under warranty. All of this happened without any interaction needed from the Credit Union.

Outsourcing the management of our IT systems to Wellington IT has proven extremely beneficial as it frees up our time and allows us to focus on achieving our strategic goals.
